Family of Black woman fatally shot in police chase from White House wants case reopened after Capitol riot

The 2013 police shooting death of Miriam Carey has received new attention after pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol last week. Many Black activists are drawing contrasts between how law enforcement responded to the predominantly White crowd compared to the George Floyd unrest over the summer.
